Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs) are free trade agreements
between the European Union and Africa, Carribean and Pacific Countries
(APC countries). 

At the moment the current agreement will mean
a loss of livelihoods for local small and medium sized businesses in
these poorer countries due to an influx of subsidised products from the
EU. 
APC countries have asked for more time to negociate this agreements but the EU is pressing on regardless, and wants APC countries to sign by the New Year.
