Dear SSC,

 

I've been greatly cheered in these depressing times by the coverage
you're beginning to get in the THE and guardian and some of the
discussion this has generated, as by the general model you seem to be
initiating, so just wanted to say thanks and send some support.

 

I am writing on behalf of the CPPE (Centre for Philosophy and Political
Economy) at Leicester. We're a loose research grouping, based in fact in
the 'school of management', although we try not to allow that to limit
our being able to say interesting and politically intelligent things
about the world. I know that most, if not all, of the group would be
interested to hear more about the SSC initiative. While it goes beyond
the position most of us are currently in, we as a group I think would
have great solidarity with your group.

 

And so I wished to invite you (anyone involved in ther SSC) to visit
Leicester to talk about what you're doing, if this would be of interest
to you. We are in fact holding a research symposium in early september
which might be an opportunity, or a seminar / meeting might be arranged
for another time.
