Hi all

See below. Is this premature? Would enough people be wanting training to
make it worthwhile? If you think so, shall we suggest dates? My guess is
weekends are more likely to suit us.

Hello Sandie

Thanks for your email. I had a quick look at the website and your
project sounds great. We at Seeds Oxford would be very happy to work
with you on building your skills in making decisions by consensus and
facilitating your consensus meetings. How long were you thinking the
workshop would be? If we had a day together then we could look at the
consensus process, what it is and how it works and have some time to
practice making some decisions, if we did it over two days we would have
much more time to work on facilitation consensus decisions and more
people would get to practice facilitating. What do you think?

Great that you have a venue in mind, ideally it would be quite spacious
so we can work in small groups without overhearing each other, easy to
regulate the temperature in the room and with lots of natural light
(thats a wish list anyway!) Thank you for the offer of food and
accommodation, we may need to take you up on that depending on the
timing of the workshop. How many people do you think will want to
participate in the workshop, ideally there would be a minimum of 5
people and no more than 20?

Most of our weekends are busy through to the end of May, but we
currently have some weekends free in June. Could the group do weekdays,
when we tend to be less busy? Let me know and I can send some potential
dates.

We offer our workshops for free to grassroots groups, but we do ask that
groups pay our travel costs and if possible make a donation as well to
help us continue our work with other grassroots groups less able to
pay. Would the members of your group be able to make a donation, others
in similar situations to your group (ie setting up new coops and
projects) often donate in the region of £150 - £200. But we don't want
money to be a factor in your deciding not to work with us, so we are
happy to work with you for less.

Please feel free to give us a call to discuss workshop content, dates etc

with best wishes

Kathryn
