Hi All,

I'm sorry I won't be able to make it on Saturday either, I'll be over in
Louth.

I'd like to put an idea out there. A proposal of our first Hackspace/SSC
collaboration with a third party involved who I feel compliments both of
our missions.
I've been in touch with Sarah about this but due to other commitments the
conversation dropped (sorry Sarah).

The 3rd party is a friend from London who has been quite involved in Hack
culture and also the social sciences.
Her blog/website can explain what she does better than I could ever do.

Below is a link to one of her recent projects which I propose could be our
"machine of enquiry" -

A rough idea of what I think we could do: would be to have a day of
workshops / seminars / discussion around a subject (any ideas?) with a
practical exploratory workshop at the end where we make our enquiry
machines around the subjects raised.
Not unlike this format shown in the link below > ta-daah.

Kat can secure funding to cover her travel and I wondered if there were any
other routes we could explore to find other sources for costs of materials
etc.
I think the Hackspace will be functioning by the end of July and I hope we
could use this as the venue.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Have a good session on Saturday and my warmest regards to all

x james
