Looks good Dave, not sure why LCC is on the flyer though? Is this because the collection is partly funded by LCC? 

>From my experience of working with these clowns over the last year, there would have to be about 6 meetings and endless paperwork/forms to be filled in to give the ok to putting this on the flyer! Just my thoughts here :-)

I think this is a really impactful design . Could? we add the image from the website - the flip chart with the text 'what do you want to learn?' - at the top of the first side. 

Just a branding idea.

I think 'looks at the what the story' should be 'looks at what the' (I recognise this as the result of good hard work trying to make words 
right).  :)

Is the punctuation after intellectuals correct?

A few other questions perhaps to discuss...

Why would we have all those institutional logos on the flyer -- (a) in themselves, in terms of what those institutions are and represent, 
and (b) do we have a collectively thought-through position on what that practice of placing logos on public documents does and is for (it 
hasn't always been the case that lectures were announced as being symbolically attached to 'branded' institutions, which frames them in a 
particular way)? Perhaps this is a useful moment for us to have that conversation again?

As with ANY design, what might this open up and to whom? What might it foreclose, and who might it exclude or alienate? 

Perhaps we can also at some point have a conversation we had  earlier in SSC history about where we get and will seek our inspirations for 
design? I think it would be exciting to think about it again at this point.

I noticed 'the what the' - now changed, but it's still on our blog, Mike's
email etc, as is the period after the end of the quote...

Stephen just emailed me about using the banner from our site on the reverse
of the flyer (top/bottom)...

I'd still like to have the conversation about design/institutions/logos to
happen as well...
