<div class="gmail_extra">I am still reflecting on yesterday...working with all of you to bring the SSC to life in public. It was an amazing feeling to speak with those who came. There are already so many ideas for what we might be able to do and many things for us to talk about.</div>

<div class="gmail_extra">I have all the notes and papers and will work to type these up before our meeting on Wednesday. I'll also post the flyer, schedule and etc. and some photos on the site. I will get in touch if I feel I need some help getting this done.</div>

<div class="gmail_extra">I'd like to thank my partner Mahmood in particular, who is very recently bereaved and mustered his energies to come support and help look after Laylah on the day. Many thanks to everyone for the work and commitment put in to making the day more than possible.</div>

<br><br><br>Dear All,<br>For those of you who couldn't make it today, the general consensus was that the Open event was a great success.<br>There were between 30-40 people there, from a wide variety of backgrounds: parents with children doing A levels, mature women who had left school at 16 but wanted to get back into HE, smart young men doing MAs at Goldsmiths, secondary school teachers and on and on...<br>
We will be writing a full report as well as producing a short video, so keep an eye on the website.<br>I very much hope that we can all get together soon.<br>Thank you for your support. Even though you were not there today we feel supported by your presence.<br>

Potential students, teachers and helpers, as well as new signed up members.<br><br>I suggest that we review all the recent contact at our meeting on Wednesday evening and draft a response to everyone that has registered interest (about 30 people yesterday), as well as a short newsletter on progress so far with the SSC that we can send to all existing members.<br>
