<p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt; font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif; font-size:11pt">As part of a recent three day strike at Leeds University, we organised a ‘teach-out’ seminar / lecture programme in lieu of cancelled classes. Of course, the content was much more
interesting than the sanitised curricula one increasingly finds in the neo-liberal university, and both staff and students who participated were all energised by this experience of interdisciplinary, autonomous, and most importantly, free education.</p>

<p style="margin:0cm 0cm 0pt; font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif; font-size:11pt">There is a big appetite (there are four universities worth of students and staff in Leeds) to continue this project in some form. It would be great to realise something like the
SCC in Leeds.</p>
