Hello

I am just introducing myself as I am part of a small
(as yet about 6) group who have decided to start a
social forum in wolverhampton. So far we have held a
garden party which went better than expected, and on
sunday we are showing the John Pilger documentary "The
New Rulers of the World" to publicise ourselves and
mobilise for London.

Your website is very good indeed. We are hoping to
attract interest from someone who knows how to make
one, because none of us do. We can barely email
without help from our children!

The ideas that you have implemented are really
interesting. We very much like the "Democracy Cafe"
and as soon as we can organise a regular venue we will
be starting one, we like the name and are assuming it
is fine for us to call our meetings the same, and we
are hoping to get a lot of ideas for a launch event
from the after film discussion on Sunday. It will
definately be musical because the one thing we are not
short of here it is musical talent.

We face a few problems, mainly the political cliques
in wolverhampton...virtually tribal, and general
apathy. Really we are just a few people who used to be
very politically involved in the 70's and 80's but
disengaged due to all the infighting and
shortsightedness. We "came to life" again after the
peace march.

Anyway I just wanted to make contact with you.
Congratulations on what you have done so far. I hope
it will be okay to get in touch again to pick your
brains and for general advice and we also hope that
someone from sheffield will be able to come to our
launch, sometime in the new year.
