Mariangela has chased Mary Fee for us local folk about a local social forum space.

Not sure the SSF counts as being a forum at the minute, but I'm still pretty keen
to try an revive things after the ESF circus has passed us by!

So does anyone want to be involved with this European local social forum space?

love

Dan

Dear Mariangela
I've been HOLDING SPACE FOR THE LOCAL SOCIAL FORUMS
at LSE CLEMENT HOUSE, and it is still available on the
Saturday: See the blue section room D202 here -
you can leave your displays for the following day's
workshop in that space, because it will be relevant.

I have made it part of the theme: New Forms of Democracy.
You can set it up on Friday evening, and continue making
displays in there - I will help you set it up - in fact
you could also meet there on Thursday evening if you want.
But I think students will be in there during Friday daytime.

During Friday morning, I think you meet in the CAFE in
Conway Hall because we are also serving food in the
corridors, or you could go the the Club Room located
upstairs behind the stage, you go along a corridor to the
right of the main hall, which is a much more private space.
Food can also be served to a group working up there.
We will ask for donations towards the hire of the room.
We will also have facilities in the Artspace for making
up storyboard presentations to prepare for of your seminar.
And if you want to keep in one place for any earlier
meetings, you can also do it in the same place, eg Thursday.
Look at the chart - I have marked these possibilities in blue
- you could then use the hall for a social in the evening.
Let me know ASAP in case someone else is looking for space.
