Hello,

There is an important meeting on Thursday in
Sheffield, with Blair’s plans to cut 22.00 a week from
disabled peoples benefits, some of the most vulnerable
people in the UK, and the plan for a flat rate housing
benefit, this is a timely and necessary meeting. There
will be plenty of time to ask questions/challenge
views from the floor.

Do go, welfare issues are often not on the radar of
the left/progressives, it’s a very important issue.

Meeting

organised by Church Action On Poverty

THE FUTURE OF BENEFITS' at 7pm on Thursday 30 June at
Central United Reform Church (Church opposite Crucible
Theatre).

Speakers from Jobcentre Plus, Citizens Advice Centre
Support and Nomad will talk about benefit policies,
including Government proposals for getting some of
those on Incapacity Benefit back to work.
