Hi,

this is a bit of a silly request. Pls fwd if appropriate.
If you are near a computer these days, go to

http://www.sky.com/skynews/polls/displayresults/0,,30100-1003322,00.html,

where Skynews is running a poll about wether or not failed asylum
seekers should receive benefits, and give them your vote.

More about the poll on indymedia:
http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2006/02/332762.html?c=on#c141084

This morning, it was about 25% vs 75% against benefit for refused asylum
seekers.
Now, at lunchtime, the vote in favour of benefit for refused asylum
seekers has risen to 27.78% (4,641 votes), versus 72.21% (12,060 votes)
against.

Not that i believe that this poll will change much for asylum seekers
either way. But it would be interesting to see what it takes to shift it
in a kind of squatt-the-online-poll way.

best
ionnek
