The Sheffield Social Forum doen't really exist any more apart from
this email list and the web site. Many Sheffield activists are
currently putting their time into the Matilda Social Centre.

I think it would be fine to host the event there. The social centre
was born out of action against the G8 summit in Sheffield so such a
gathering is just the kind of thing Matilda is interested in. We've
already hosted several other gathering including for the Dissent
Network, EF and soon Saving Iceland.

However this would have to be agreed by consensus at one of the
regular Matilda meetings. The next one of these is tomorrow evening.

Ideally someone organising the event should be present at the meeting
so any questions people have can be answered. However as you're not in
Sheffield this might be a bit impractical. Maybe you could submit a
detailed proposal by email to our email list:

         matilda at lists.riseup.net

(No need to join the list to post). Try to give as much info as
possible at to what you need, time dates, expected number of people,
food, accomadation etc.. If there was a phone number we could call on
during the meeting we could contact you should the need arise and ask
any questions then that might work.

Note the events page on the website may not be totally up to date as
new events are proposed all the time. However Matilda is a pretty big
space with many rooms and floors and there is no reason why two or
more events can't happen simultaneously.
