Head rests back, eyes half closed
A statue I, cast in ivory tone
Sitting here on my rubble throne
Skin of plaster, skin of my home

Through lashes watch planes go by
Splashes of white roar through clear sky
Hear the fall of death nearby
Wonder if there will be more statues,
Statues that once could cry

We are marble, we are stone
Not flesh and blood, not skin and bone
Come drop your bombs on my son and daughter
They are statues, It is not slaughter

Shall I sit for eternity
On the rubble where my children sleep
Or shall I rise with the need
To see you grieve as I grieve
To see you grieve as I grieve

I am marble, I am stone
Not flesh and blood, not skin and bone
Come drop your bombs now, try and make me bleed
Come drop your bombs now, you cannot hurt me

All are marble, all are stone
Not flesh and blood, not skin and bone
Use our bombs to chisel minds
Carve out enemies to fight
Until there is a world of statues,
Statues that once could cry
