<DIV><STRONG>The Symbionese Liberation Army kidnapped Patty Hearst on Feb 23rd 1974. The original ransom of $2 million spent on food for the poor was met by her father. She was not freed and after almost a month of captivity, her parents appeared on television begging for their daughters release, "Patty we kind of missed you on your birthday", her father said.</STRONG></DIV>

<DIV><STRONG>On April 15th 1974 Patty Hearst was seen in a bank holding a gun, helping the Symbionese Liberation Army in asuccessful robbery. She sent a taped message to her parents declaring she had joined the war for the oppressed people of the world.</STRONG></DIV>
<DIV><STRONG></STRONG> </DIV>
<DIV><STRONG>Patty Hearst was arrested in San Francisco on September 27th 1975 and found guilty of helping the SLA in a bank heist. The jury is not sympathetic to her claim that she was brainwashed.</STRONG></DIV>
