KNITTING
Saturday, October 15, 2-4 pm
co k2 p3 ssk yo bo, huh? Whether you want to yarn bomb public spaces or
learn to knit your grandpa a scarf this winter, all you need to know is how
to knit and purl. All knitting patterns are just a variation of these two
stitches with a few twists and turns inbetween. This workshop will teach you
the essentials of knitting, make sense of pattern abbreviations, guages,
swatches, needle types and all those yarn options.  Materials supplied or
bring your own and some to share!

Basic screenprinting for everyone! Learn how to prepare your image, coat and
burn screens and print on paper and fabric! A must for anyone interested in
using our screenprinting studio ever.

Learn how to build your own vermicomposter for next to nothing. This
workshop will cover the ins and outs on how to start up your box, feed and
maintain happy worms, and how to harvest your compost to feed your garden
organically.

Sidetracks is a volunteer team of silkscreening super-stars!  The team meets
monthly to run Ste. Emilie’s silkscreen studio and host community groups and
community projects during the week to help them with silkscreening
projects.

♥ you get to work with community organizations to silkscreen radical
projects
♥ put your creative energy (or just plain energy!) to support grassroots
community activism
