ANNE PETITCLERC was born some years ago on a Sunday. She likes white walls
and the mess that they anticipate. She writes poetry.

COLLEEN YOUNG is a fierce femme dyke who writes about femininity,
domesticity, and fiber art as sites of lesbian desire.

KYLE PATRICK - Kyle Patrick, originally from the prairies, moved to
Montreal to further explore his passion for poetry and performance art.
Graduating with a diploma in Communications from the University of
Winnipeg, he worked and studied throughout his degree with some of
Manitoba’s greatest writing and theatre talents as well as working with
organizations like Manitoba’s Theatre for Young People in his youth.

MEGAN ANN WARD is a poet newly based in Montreal after being a fixture in
the Victoria spoken word community for the last 3 years. She has been on
the Victoria Slam Team which went to 2010 CFSW in Ottawa, recently took the
title of 2011 Victoria Slam Champion, competed at the Canadian Individual
Slam Championships, was part of the 2011 Victoria Spoken Word Festival, and
has performed naked on multiple occasions. Megan has been writing poetry
and prose since her grandma gave her a pink journal when she was 8 years
old, and started performing about 4 years ago. She writes from a place of
passion, of raw and heartfelt honesty. She tells the story of her battles
with addiction, of hospitals and the streets, of losing and finding faith,
of falling in love and of heartbreak, and sometimes even writes about sex.
Her comfort food is baked lasagne, and she would love to hear your stories
over coffee after the show.

Born April 9 1992 in Montreal, MICHAEL PERRY moved to the Caribbean. There,
he honed the Caribbean texture to his singing. He attended the nation's
most prestigious school – Antigua Grammar School – where he performed at
many events. At age 11, he recorded a self-proclaimed Christian album
titled 'I Need Jesus'. This album received play on local radio. He has
since moved into the Pop and R&B realm of music. He also invokes queer
issues into some of his music. He has since recorded and released mixtapes
under the titles "Perform" and "Unlocking ME". He now attends Concordia

WARIHER KWEEN PARNEET BEE is a rapper, poet, spoken word artist, and
recently took up playing sitar. She loves love! And she is stoked to share
her stories with everyone.

ZARA AHMED - Zara Ahmed is an alt/folk musician based in Montreal. She's a
big fan of Josh Ritter and Cat Power, and would love to play in a tribute
band called Cat Ritter. Her new, full-length album Act of Treason was
produced by Kevin Lynn of King Cobb Steelie (and Holy F*ck alumni) and is a
gutsy garage-folk album a la PJ Harvey or (who are we kidding) Cat Ritter.
She's going on tour this month in the Maritimes with Sockfoot.
