[syfaslane365] Big blockade at Faslane

Big blockade on Oct 1 felt great !

We were at the base for about half an hour before joining the blocakade
and being carried off (with Heather, River and Helen from Sheffeild /
hope valley.)  Saw Nicola there as well - and Jill was there drawing.
(REALLY looking forward to seeing them Jill !  :-)  )   (Also saw
Jonathan and Sarah who are in Edinburgh now.)   

It felt great - even tho the police grabbed the lock-on thingy off me -
and I only lasted a couple of minutes in the road before being carried
off. But Heather stayed longer - and River and Helen did manage to
lock-on, and were in the blockade quite a while. And the whole thing did
shut down all the gates for several hours - and felt a fantastic
presence - and got national media coverage even in england (guardian,
times, independent, (I think radio 4 news??) ......
(600 people and 170 arrests I think was the average of the figures
quoted.)

And the overall organisation, vibe, support, etc. of the event was
awesome - very inspiring that the movement can function so well !

I spoke to the sheffield star (and derbyshire times and matlock mercury)
- they may cover it.

I'd love to hear anyone else's experiences. (Or any brillinat ideas on
what to do next!)
