I also forward an email from Jane Tallents about
the Faslane camping situation. I guess we need to decide who will be camping and
what numbers. Maybe I could take a list of names on 1st July and someone
else could do the same on 9th July - perhaps Kiri? Then I can give
Jane the information she needs and we could begin to organise transport to the
site etc.

Dear Jonathan

I've had a chat with Georgina
who owns Peaton Wood. She is happy for groups taking part in Faslane 365 to camp
there. The wood is 40acres and is where Trident Ploughshares camps for a
fortnight each year. (see the camp briefing at http://www.tridentploughshares.org/article983)

October
can be really lovely here on the west coast although it can get a bit chilly at
night. There is a smallish field next to the road where you can camp although
most people prefer to go up the hill a bit into the actual wood where there are
lots of fantastic camping spots. A few people live there all the time 'helping
Georgina with forestry work' and they will have compost toilets available and be
able to give general advise and help.

You will have to bring your own
drinking water although the water from the stream is okay for washing etc. There
is an electicity supply and some mobile phones get a signal. There is obviously
lots of firewood!

You would need to leave someone guarding your camp
while people are away. Things have occasionally gone missing but local tensions
might be increased with this escalation in our activities so its best not to
leave everything unattended.

It would be really useful if a couple of
your group could come and visit during the TP camp and we can show you around
and discuss anything practical.

Otherwise I'm happy to answer any
questions.

in peace
Jane
