i'm assuming not, unless we're either going to add *everyone who gets an
address to aktivix-discuss, or limit it to people we know. (I don't know
Hamish, except by email-contact).

from what i remember of the discussion in the pub on the saturday
evening at aktivix 2 (and i'll dig my notes out as soon as i've finished
moving house), there was talk of creating a (self-appointed?) list of
people to 'vet' applicants, so that -discuss can remain a discussion
list, rather than getting swamped by what will hopefully become
increasing volumes of requests...

any other thoughts?
