Hi,

sorry for the cross posting, and there may be people who are also 
subscribed to the list this comes rom. here is some summarised 
translation. basically there is this idea to carry out some collective 
action between all hacklabs that hear this, it is still in the thinking 
stage, i;m just translating some of this thinking;

I believe that the situation is the serious enough for us to take it 
seriously or espond collectively as a movement, and begin to think about 
concrete strategies or within 10 years hacklabs will be prohibited and 
it will be too late.  Perhaps many people who pass by hacklabs dont give 
a toss and they join some group of Palladium or  some 
Microsoft-Geek-Boy-Scout-Group because the only thing they look for in a 
hacklab is cacharreo and coleguillas [better translations of this 
welcome]. I do give a toss.

Me alegra que vuelva a surgir el tema porque hace tiempo que algunos 
participantes de esta lista creemos que es importantísimo crear un 
espacio de coordinación política entre hacklabs. Pero cuando discutimos 
estos temas, hace casi dos años, no llegamos a ninguna estregia que 
consiguiera movilizarnos a todos.

Creo que ha llegado la hora de volver a plantearnos este asunto tan 
importante. La sociedad de la información se está creando ahora. Es en 
este momento cuando se están tomando las decisiones y se están creando 
las infraestructuras más importantes de esa sociedad de la información. 
Tenemos un potencial increible para ser políticamente efectivos en este 
momento constitutivo. Y no lo estamos aprovechando. <modo provocativo> 
Las patentes de software ya se han aprobado en europa y nuestra 
movilización ha sido casi nula. Lo mismo con el canon de los CDs. ¿Qué 
será lo siguiente? ¿Vamos a seguir haciendo talleres de iptables y 
openoffice para evitar que criminalicen las redes p2p? ¿Vamos a seguir 
reciclando ordendores para evitar que pongan un canon al ADSL? </modo 
provocativo>

Creo que la situación es los suficiéntemente grave como para vayamos 
tomándonos en serio que o respondemos colectivamente como movimiento y 
empezamos a pensar en estrategias concretas o dentro de 10 años estarán 
prohibidos los hacklabs y será demasiado tarde. Quizás a mucha gente que 
pase por los hacklab se la sude y se apunten a un grupo de usuarios de 
Palladium o a un Microsoft-Geek-Boy-Scout-Group porque lo único que 
buscan de un hacklab es cacharreo y coleguillas. A mi no me da igual.
