What do you think about Mambo - the open source content management system -
splitting, as the Mambo Foundation, run by Miro International, appears to be
carrying out a hostile takeover?  See:

The mambo dev team have thus split off to creat Joomla! -

I can't quite believe the Mambo foundation will be charging '3rd party
developers' between $100 - $50,000 to 'participate in the developmental
direction of Mambo'.

If a project is open source, and is licensed at such, how can they do this?

Well - it looks like the foundation is losing it's supporters at a rate of
knots, anyway...
