ESRC National Centre for e-Social Science

The National Centre for e-Social Science (NCeSS) is the central resource
for e-social science issues and activities in the UK: see
http://www.ncess.ac.uk. Its coordinating Hub, based at the University of
Manchester, has responsibility for seven major research Nodes at other UK
universities. The Hub team consists of a research director, programme
manager, eight research staff, a learning technologist and three
administrators, all based at the University of Manchester.

The Hub wishes to appoint a second Learning Technologist with programming
experience in HTML, mySQL, PHP and JavaScript; proven experience of
designing and developing electronic learning content; an understanding of
the issues related to accessibility; and experience of working in a Unix
environment. Experience of RELOAD, Web2.0 technologies and of developing
interactive online learning materials is also desirable. The post is
tenable from 1 February 2008 (or as soon as possible thereafter) for three
years.

Salary: £26,666 - £32,796 p.a.
