perhaps you'd like to try to set up a lorea.org (elgg+bundle) software
service for the uk.... this next month comes a new verison,,, and
there's a hackmeeting in one of this project's "headquarters"
sindominio.net/hackmeeting

the main thing to mention about the software is the ability to use the
group forums as mailing lists (you reply from your email and goes to
all), the easy moving and tracking, permissions, accesory bits for the
list. etc. for me mailman is isolating initiatives since this tool is
around.


i could be helping you setting it up, not that much technically, but
with bits and pieces yes.. i have experience in the n-1.cc network.


briar and diaspora could be "competition", mailman could be a fsn groups
backing tool....
