hello
yes I've got a bundle of interviews, more than I can transcribe for now, but
since writing to the list about this I have found a friend who is keen to do
some. it's probably good if she does because I can bill for them on the same
invoice and pay her direct thus minimising faff for andre, and also check
them for language etc while she does them here. she's also quite interested
in the subject and knows some of the interviewees from the transmission
meeting so it's nice.
does that make sense?
I've not put anything new on the wiki since it all got shifted and the
ifiwatch pages got left behind - steffen said he'd sort that soon and so I'm
waiting till he does. but the MP3 files of most of the interviews are
uploaded on our ftp space in case you would like to listen to any. when I do
put the interview transcripts on the wiki I'll link them to the relevant
audio files if I can.
spoke to pennie today she is on the way home soon, phew!

Good news about the london-transmission event.

Just to clarify - were you intending to transcribe these interviews or would
you like me to get someone else to transcribe them? Also are they on the
wiki and you would like me to listen to them and pick out which ones to
transcribe.

hi all
latest news is, the british film institute is def hosting the
london-transmission public facing events, this booked for trwo sessions on
14th october. I'm on the organising committee for that and we are drafting a
blurb. would be really nice to get an initial signal of interest - or not -
on my proposal (in recent mail) to look into perhaps funding some research
on online video metadata standards etc in prep for that event...?
please do ask if you want more info, formal suggestion or whatever.
meanwhile I've put most of my interviews so far on the FTP, so if anyone
else wants to arrange some transcription (Andre? the MP3 files are there for
you. I'll get on with a few of them; could suggest that good ones to do your
end would be andrew, gerbrand, maxigas and agnese (sorry that is cut in
three parts due to battery issues). once written up, it could be good for me
to check any transcripts done by others for misunderstood terms etc... or
give the transcriber my number for any queries?
