hi
sorry for being so late especially to get subtitling workflow delayed.
you can see and download video reportage of retx at http://www.archive.org/details/retransmission (mpeg2, 04:43, 155Mb at the moment. if you want other format/size/container/anything, please let me know).
and also edit it in the wiki at http://wiki.transmission.cc/index.php/Subtitles_workflow_dev#Steps: (where else want me to do post/edit?)
(anyone knows how to embed a video in the wiki so that we can see it directly in the wiki? seemed like one of participants presented it. but not remember.)

first of all, we haven't tried to put too much energy and time into working on it. but it really takes.
because of language problem still and other priorities like planning for people's standup rally soon.

- it's absolutely open for idea, suggestion, criticism to re-edit especially if there is any part that is not good for translation or possibly make the audience mis-understand re:tx. (the backgroud music for example is neither good nor publicly licensed content. so you may like to recommend better one...)

- as an excuse, we couldn't make the general reportage about re;tx gathering(workshop, presentation, screening, working groups) mainly because of not-well-planned filming.

- there is no time-coded transcript (english). as i said before, it takes double time for us to do transcript (english). so i really hope to see volunteer(s) work on it as a time-coded transcript. then, even we can translate that into korean for kor subtitle.

BTW, as for one suggestion for the subtitling working, can we add setting up the best preset for transcoding both into preview file and DVD quality one to the workflow and draft proposal as well? when i have tried to use mediacoder for example, i just do that without comfortable sureness.

what else i have... that's it at the moment.

thanks,
best, dongwon
