[Bristol-artivist] state of the art

Hi everyone,

i want to personally appologise, for my lack of presence in the recnet months, it is bad timing for me, with final year exams i really ahve not been doing anything else except eating sleeping and reading living in the library. I know the email wan't writine to guilt trip anyone just to inform people to the state of the situation. I should however have realisd i was over commiting mylsef when i talkied of T-shirt screenprinting, i did try with that but it dident work out anyway, the point is shoudn't have sujjested it or commited myself until i was positive i could make the day and i think this is a wider leasson for us all, and also leads on from what Garteth was saying in his email, about suggestions for events/workshop idea/exhabitions should be made in person allowing for the exchange of numbers and an instant understanding of the fact that others are relying on you to stick to your commitment.

I think this goup has a lot of potential, i do not consider myself atristic in the least but the stencil workshops i atttended really truely inspeired me, and gave me confidence to do something i'd wanted to for a whiile, i made my own and have been out and put them up (alwyas more could be done with regards to this though of course) but none of that would ahve happened if i hadn't been to the workshops, and with what i've been doing i've told others and a few have even been out with me..this all makes a difference and has an effect, word is spreading... It is very unfair to put all the responsibility for the running of the group on one or two people, and i totally understand Martin being tired and fustrated and disapointed by it all, it is too easy to get excited about brillient ideas but harder to give over the time that is needed to make these a reality, and in this way i find myslf supporting an idea or sugesting something and realising late i cant do it.

I can't really say anything else as my exams finish this friday, i'll be at the picknic and look forward to seeign peopel there but then i'm off to scotland to prepare for the G8 so won't be in bristol most of the summer so am not in a position to contribute, or suggest ways forward, i just felt i should appologise and try and explain and say how important, and how much potential i think this group has.

love and light
Katerina

Yo dudets 'n' dudes,

My feelings are, that we may be more effective if we
use these emailing sessions as our meetings, to
discuss ideas and actions etc. Then to organize
colaberations on specific projects with a group
confirming between themselfs a time and place to get
together (I don't know the avalability of keeble, if
it's just "our" saturday or what, but i can do stuff
at my flat , adam was
surjesting use of studio and i'm sure theres other
spaces too).

To meet on these saturdays would be great, but so far
it hasn't proved too practical, and has
subsequently(?) been a totaly unfair burden for are
dear Martin.

I realize emailing ain't going to be that practical
for all, but with a bit of teamwork mabey using
phones!!! It might just work.

Also somthing we could look into is a site that does
free text messaging to get the word out

So what do YOU think?

also sorry aboot the spelling.

Peace
