[Campaignforrealdemocracy] what is the Campaign for Real Democracy (CRD)

i've been thinking about the structure and role of CRD

the way i see it is that CRD is an umbrella group, and is a good name to use
to raise funds or when you need to appear quite mainstream, anyone can be
affiliated to the CRD if they agree to the core beliefs (which i drafted as
a very short statement of principles after the first meeting) but no one can
be a member, spokesperson or delegate of it.

so Mark for instance you can be a delegate for the union of localists, which
is part of the campaign for real democracy

a transition town group that we persuade to be more than just purely focused
on energy descent might also say that they are affilitated to the CRD

in fact a tory mp might be able to say he is affilitated with CRD - all it
means is that he supports the statement

meetings of CRD are not decision making, they are a forum for discussion,
idea sharing etc
