        I'll try to answer your points.
1) Great. That's how I started on the website. Are you comfortable with
HTML? It's only simple lists and links. I've done the first one for you
so if you go to edit it you will see what I've done.
 To find articles I would advise setting up a google alert for 'camp for
climate action' and another for 'climate camp'. You can google news
right back to last Aug so you can fill in the gap if you're bored.
 To edit the press page you'll need another sign in. I'll send it to you
off list.

2)No you don't have to have the same the same template as long as Coal
Caravan is a menu item or link.

3)If you follow the G20 link you will find this:

The time line won't fit as bar but might fit as a list.
