Hi all,

Thanks lots for all this jonathan. Updates look great as interim measures!

One thing I think we have to be really careful / clear about - and I maybe just misreading jonathan's email - is that the summer climate camp 'in the city' is not the London camp - i.e. not hosted by the London neighbourhood. So maybe as is on the website it could be referred to as is as varieties of the 'summer climate camp 09' and 'in the city' where needed etc.. Apologies jonathan if i'm just being picky about the shorthand you're using.

For the moment, i think the 'London camp page' referred to (node/551) can be resolved for the moment with a little circularity and updating of the neighbourhoods page. The home page pretty much outlines the summer climate camp in the city and this could just be duplicated with a 'how to get involved' buttons linking into working groups and neighbourhoods - the latter needs serious updating as it refers to january stuff. I'm happy to update the text on this possibly using the minutes from Hebden - realistically i could have it done by the end of monday so maybe could just cut it back to contacts before then?

Hi all,

Can I propose an interim tidy-up of the right hand menu buttons on the website, to highlight the Scotland and Wales camps and maybe make what's in them a bit more logical? Also an extra button on the left hand menu. The text and links I'd propose are below - can we say 24 hours for any problems/amendments and then it can go up? We can always change further later.

One question this raises is how we decide what order to put the Wales, Scotland and London camps in, when we list all three. I'm assuming that since the Wales and Scotland camps have their own websites, and since the UK process (and hence website) is organising the London camp, it follows that we would put that one first and foremost on this site, with the other two following. So that's why I've put the Cambridge gathering first in terms of gatherings. But then when it comes to the three camps in the summer, I'm more inclined to put them in chronological order, as that seems the most comprehensible. What do others think?  Obviously this is all just an interim step, while we work out how to revamp the website in full. And I'd hope that in the next couple of days we'll have what's in the second box in the centre column anyway.

One thing this means is we seriously need to flesh out the London Camp page with lots more info asap: http://www.climatecamp.org.uk/node/551. Can someone take on drafting a plan for this?

[I don't think it makes sense to have the Age of Stupid and Download latest leaflet links in this box - we should work out somewhere else on the site to mention the Age of Stupid, probably in the context of putting on local screenings. And I think the leaflets page is fine to just be findable in the Spread the Word section for now.]

RIGHT HAND BOX 2:

Summer 2009

Three Camps!

Scotland, 3-9 Aug [link to: http://climatecampscotland.org.uk/?page_id=116]

[I don't think it makes sense to have the Twitter feed link in this box - see box on left suggestion below. The Regional and International Camps link is obsolete because the regional camps are linked above and the box below already links to the International Camps page.]
