hi
i'm going to be really unpopular with some for this but hey ho. i hate to
say it but i agree with iggy here about this sounding like a playground.
Neil. It was decided by consensus at the website working group meeting
that you do not require admin rights on the new website. Please stop
asking for them.
To the others, it's clear that there was a cock up of there being no
process in place prior to this meeting. If anybody feels that they don't
need them anymore to do their tasks, please inform the list and we should
remove them. At the meeting a process was put in place for granting such
tools and keeping the number of people with access to them minimal. Can
somebody please summarise that to the list.
I don't feel these can be applied retrospectively and i also don't see
administrative access as a right. It is a tool to be used for a specific
purpose ie to implement decisions made by consensus by the whole group.
These tools have been distributed prior to this meeting, and their
continued ownership was agreed by consensus in a meeting that was attended
by all of the posters to this thread. It was also agreed that no change
should be made to this list before another physical meeting.
In my opinion, if anyone in this group has a problem with a decision made
by consensus in an open meeting, then i suggest they should evaluate if a
non heirarchical way of doing things is something they are willing to
participate in.
I propose that this issue is not discussed again on this list until then,
so we can get on with something important
