Hi
Climatecamp.radio for 2010 anyone? :-)
Can i propose that this discussion doesn't take place on this working list. As far as i can see, despite some wrongly assuming that the police are crap at tech stuff (they are, but you can bet it is netcu and others pulling the teeth out of this), the videos are now plastered across the internet and almost certainly being handed round the staffroom at notts police station as we speak, and there is very little we can now do about that. There are doubtless lots of learning points for the next national gathering/cctv meeting to discuss (recommending people to mask up, always filming from behind etc), which are all better off being discussed face to face so there's no need for everyone to have a heated argument on this working list now.
It would be healthy if people can prepare for the inevitable necessity of dropping any animosity if we are all going to move forward together and use our various talents to try and make the better world that a thousand people turned up to fight
for last weekend.
In solidarity and looking forward to some incredibly mundane server administration being discussed :-)

Hi Rastko,
Am worried by this, the resion the films aren't on the CCTV site, and
should have been taken down from the LIVE site - re-edited and re-posted
is because of issues of identifying activist doing crimal damage (with
no attempt to hide there identerty in the edit) and the use of copyright
music which is agenst the terms of service of blips the host of both the
LIVE site and CCTV. The has been good dicushern on these subjects and am
shore a concesus is forming which can be agreed at the CCTV meeting.
For the embed codes just goto each film on CCTV then click on the embed
option to get an embed code.
Here is a mail I sent to anther person who has been posting
incriminating images, just to highlight the issue and what we can do now.

Hi *****,
Yes, it was problematic, were are you based, we are in London and happy
to help to make good activist films (:
Hard to know what to do on these issues at this point - as the police
will likely have copy's of the video by now, but isent certern as they
can be very incompetent about tec stuff.
On balance, If you can take down all the incriminated stuff this is
probely still a good idea - then do an edit with some seance blurred to
re-post. If this comes to a court case your video will likely be used by
the police in court. At least you have done the right thing in the end
if you act now.
Lets hope they don't prosecute, might not as its continues the bad
publiserty for them - cross your fingers.
