Hi all,
Sorry for the massive CC-ing action.

Firstly, thanks for the fantastic efforts made by David and others
involved with getting the GCS site to this stage.
I'd like to propose that the GCS website presence becomes part of the
main climate camp site. Hopefully this doesn't offend anyone who has
been working on the GCS website so far - I think there are good reasons
for doing so:
* At the moment there is some conclusion about what the relationship
between CC and GCS should be. For example, do we put legal info on the
CC website, on the GCS website, or both? Will the CC website just end up
mirroring the content of the GCS site anyway?
* I think it worked really well to have it separate for the voting stage
- it allowed the GCS to be very distinct visually and also made sense
for practical reasons. But I think at this stage it would be great to
give it some context - and I think that context is climate camp. I think
this helps build the narrative both in the media and in people's minds.
* It would be one less website we have to maintain - we can give
non-technical users edit access via the CMS (this might be possible with
the GCS site as it's built on Drupal but I don't know).
We would still be able to use the imagery, so the GCS wouldn't lose its
"brand". I'd imagine we'd change it to something like "In association
with Plane Stupid and Climate Rush", which we ought to check with them -
but at the moment none of CC, PS or CR are linked from the GCS site as
far as I can see.
Cheers, hope making this proposal is not really bad form!
Jon
