hey all
Sorry I=3Bve been so inctive on Swoop planning but here's an idea I'd love =
to see if we could make happen for the Swoop.... and I hope it's not too la=
te
Could we use the blog section of gthe Climate Camp site to live blog the ac=
tion? Live blogging is a great to report real-time news in more than 140 ch=
aracters and we would stilll need real-time tweeting. But a live blog has s=
everal other benefits:
We can quickly publish a load of content as it occurs live=2C e.g. imagery =
from Flickr=2C video from YouTube or Qik with commentary and deeper context=
.We can use it to draw attention and amplify other real-time content as it =
arises=2C e.g. media live-blogs' media coverage=3B other blog/twitter cover=
ageWe can also perform real-time monitoring and trakcing of other third-par=
ty coverage and drive people through to the Climate Camp coverage through o=
utreach and commentsWe can sync the blog's RSS feed with the facebook page =
to ensure we are posting live=2C regulalrly updated conetnt to the Faceboo=
k Page
What are people's thoughts? Can we make this happen? I'm offering to blog w=
ith support/input form anyone else keen to write.
It'd be good to have comments open which can be monitored in real-time alon=
g with the lvie-blog but then perhaps closed after the action.
Happy to discuss this further if people want?=20
And sorry - didn't put it on Crabgrass :(
Simon :)
