Hi Jim,

I agree with you that we should aim not to be embedding stuff from
corporate sites on our website. Apart from the privacy issues you raise,
I hate having a YouTube logo on our home page...

However, the embed was done in the middle of the camp without much time
to polish things and using a crappy dongle internet connection which
made it very slow to do anything. YouTube was the only place that I knew
the video to be readily available from so was the quickest way to get it
up.

It may be a little consolation that I activated the "privacy enhanced
mode" for the embed, which disables cookies being set or something.

I am copying in Felix who made the videos which were embedded during the
camp - perhaps he will be able to look at hosting them on websites other
than YouTube in the future.
