Hi folks - bit late, but hey....
here's an updated report on the dayschool after our visit/chats recently.
Hope it encompasses the gist correctly of where we are. I'll get 20+
copies done for the meet. If you have any problems/corrections...it'll be
tricky to sort but you can try by belling me on the mobby early in the
day. Or raise it at the meeting. OK.

₤50 damage deposit. We are applying for a reduction on the basis it
is a community event. Ok?

B. Childcare – as well as the xtra space above, we need at least one
formal childcare worker (₤8ph x 7 hrs), plus volunteers to help out,
plus a co-ordinator (email contact) for people to advise no’s of kids to.

C. Publicity – some draft posters etc ideas should be available tonite.
Email publicity to go out soon. Need a budget to pay for posters/flyers.
How much? And then we need to get it out!

D. Catering – see list requesting helpers. We will charge (cheaply) for
drinks, cake, snacks, main meal. We will need to provide
pans/plates/cups/forks etc. Ideally any profit would go to offset costs of
venue hire. Is the group / Kebele caterers happy with this?

E. Opening session – a chairperson, a Bristol person to speak on Dissent
locally & nationally; a speaker on anti-capitalism; a Bristol Dissenter to
outline day. Then sort any queries.
Closing session – 2 facilitators for open session for ideas, callouts,
feedback etc.

F. Speakers/facilitators - needed for opening & closing sessions, who
are comfortable in front of upto 150 people. Any applicants who’d like to
be considered for the job, especially women?

G. Workshops – see NEW PROPOSAL above. We have space for this. We can have
1 workshop in side room; 1 on balcony; and 2 in main hall.
