I'm happy to meet you!

Fortunately, we have a bin entirely filled with opinion hats that one
can utilise whenever moody. I believe that there are many reasons not to
move to the eastern regions of the world, of which most are personal.

As a matter of fact, you picked a very bad time. Mostly everyone is busy
with the G8 meetings and how to wreck them best possible. To top that,
this is the '-tech' list, meaning that technological matters are mostly
dealt with. What you are presenting appears mostly as a trollish attempt
at debate, which is cool, but keep it to the right mailing list.

If you do not see the reasons for acting, as presented on the website,
you may need glasses. To illustrate my point, try simply and analyse the
image and the text on the front page.

From July 6-8th, violent extremists will be coming to Scotland...
They'll be trying to meet at the Gleneagles hotel,
and we'll be trying to stop them.

This is obviously a pun on a reputation that many of the demonstrating
groups of people traveling to Scotland this year have gained through the
mainstream media, being anarchists, punks and the scum of society with
no incentives to be less than extremely violent. This in mind, the
picture is turned 180 degrees by pointing out that the real extremists
in terms of humanity are the executives and world leaders trying to hold
the G8 meeting. As you are entitled to your opinion hat, you should be
able to see by now that at least 250,000 people are actively not
agreeing with you.

This is just an analysis of the first three lines on the Dissent
website. If you click onto the "Introduction to the Dissent network" and
the "What is the G8?" links, as presented in the left side of the
Dissent website, you will be able to learn about the motivation for acting.

I hope you find what you are looking for.
