The internet is scketchy and any information you have on email or even your
computer is accessible to others if they want it. If you don't want random
people to be able to see your conversations or meeting notes the only way to
make sure that happens is to not have it online.
Group email lists and listservs are really useful for lots of reasons. But
it is hard, if not impossible, to keep them private while still functional.
