Kink Tank discussion topic for 10/11/09:
Non-monogamy and beyond...
Not just another "what is polyamory" discussion, in this free-form
discussion we
will talk about all forms of non-monogamy (and monogamy!), polyamory, open
relationships, sluttiness, ethicalsluttiness, group sex, swinging,
alternatives to
(and non-traditional forms of) marriage and traditional family structures,
etc. -
what they all are, what they mean to each of us and to different
populations, what
our experiences have been with or without them, and how they are all
shaped by (and
in turn inform) our identities, desires, behaviors, lifestyles, politics,
religious/spiritual beliefs, attractions, relationships, friendships, etc.
 This one
is not a closed workshop (so if you're running late, don't be afraid to
come on over
anyway).  Open to all (not just poly- or slutty-identified people), come
prepared to
learn from each other and share a little bit about yourself.
Non-monogamy discussion preceded by a short discussion about Kink Tank
itself, what
it's all about, what kinds of topics may we want to cover in the future,
guidelines/boundaries/parameters, and most importantly, what we want our
Safer
Spaces policy to look like.  All of the above can of course be in flux as
long as
the group is active, but it's always helpful to start off by dedicating
some time to
a discussion like this.  Although it may sound like a chore to some, it
will be
fun!  So don't miss it...
