Can't 'class' be (relatively) objectively defined? Those who do own and/or control the means of production versus those who do not.
This definition makes the vast majority 'working class'. Just because somebody wears a suit and works in an office/hospital/school/ etc etc does not mean they are 'them'. The structure of wealth creation has shifted from the old heavy industries to white collar industries. 
There is currently the potential for very widescale industrial action over attacks on our pensions. Every individual who supports that is 'on our side'. And it doesn't matter what clothes they wear, music they listen to, or even whether their bike has 15 gears or 21 gears.

I feel sorry for the "middle class", always aspiring to become richer, having to keep up with appearances, working their guts off for a pension someone's going to steal, that's if they haven't died of stress-related diseases. 

I said it before, we are equal until we think we aren't. 

Money isn't the only measure of wealth. It's time we trade in.

Some rather sweeping class based statements going around. I'm not 
convinced that the entire middle class conforms to that description, any 
more than the working class does. Unless you are trying to define new 
groupings, in which case the old terminology beceoms anti-constructive.

But perhaps time to take this one of list for everyone's sakes, given 
how clsoe we are to impact?
