[g8-sheffield] meetings are there others out there or are youdoing the right thing and hugging trees?

I don't think this is the time for us to try to engage officially with
such a highly principled group. I want whatever we do to remain as open
and non-specific on issues as possible, to allow subgroups within what
we are doing to express themselves as they see fit. I think that having
the SWP on board too soon could make that difficult, as they tend to
have a very specific notion of which issues it is most important to
address, and have been known to prioritise this over allowing other
groups to express legitimately held positions.
Obviously that is in the context of remaining open to individuals.
