Hi folks,
A member of Branches Housing Co-op in Bradford and 1in12 Club member was detained by the UK Border Agency on Friday.

I've just got back from visiting Ana at Yarl's Wood Immigration Removal Centre. She is in positive spirits and is actually supporting other detainees in a worse situation than her, people that speak no english and have no idea what is happening to them.

We now need people to act to secure her release. The basis of our case for this is that she was interviewed without an interpreter, which is totally breaking Home Office protocols and against the European Convention on Human Rights. Anna's legal representative thinks the most effective thing we can do to get Anna out of detention is to try and get our MPs to speak to the minister for immigration, Damian Green, about this. We can also contact Damian Green directly.

I've enclosed two documents, one is a draft letter to Damian Green that you can put your name to then email to greend at parliament.uk The second is basic info about Anna's case that you will need to contact your MP with.
Please do this, we might be abe to swing it.
