Thanks for that... I'd rewrite the statusnet bit more like this.

"Pete and some friends were successfully sharing news about a demonstration using #hashtags on twitter. When they tried to repeat this the next day, they found that their accounts had been suspended, and had lost access to their friend/follower lists and older tweets.

Pete and friends could have been using a statusnet installation. Statusnet is a microblog service, similar to twitter, but it's decentralised, which means you can run your own statusnet installation. It also can act as a twitter client, so you can use it to update twitter or facebook status without losing control of your content.

If you don't want to have to install your own statusnet installation, you can get an account on https://indy.im or look at a hosted installation at http://status.net

Statusnet has some other neat features.
  * You can automatically attach pictures or video to posts, so you don't need to hand your content to another party like twitpic or plixi
  * You can create/join groups. Posts into groups are distributed to all its members, whether they are following you or not.
  * You can take an RSS feed from a blog and automatically bring its latest posts into your timeline.
  * If you have a newish mobile phone ( eg Android or Iphone ) you can install a statusnet application from your appstore to make publishing and reading your timeline simple.

Further information on statusnet is available <a href="http://aland.burngreave.net/presentation/bradlab/statusnet.html"> Here </a>"

I cant add it to the booki as i've forgotten my password, and it gives a crazy django error when I try and reset it.

Also the word "Author" is misspelled at the end of the booki.
