Etherpad is great! but I don't think we would be able to do the 2
workflows we agreed on with the etherpad.
Also, on a content rather than tech level, we'd lose the interaction
with the rest of the flossmanuals community and content.
I think it's a positive thing to be able to draw on all of the existing
content there (flossmanuals.net) and edit it and remix it easily. You
can just copy and paste from chapters of other manuals into your
chapters without worrying about formatting or losing images.
And when we've done our version people will be able to benefit from what
we've done as well.
Interestingly, Booki uses etherpad for it's notes section. Log in and
click on the notes pad and you'll see it there.
People in the community have requested that this be the main editor for
the chapters too. I'll try to find out more.
