You'll need to remember that any one worth there salt will be doing like
the German cops (and no doubt others *), and getting a virus or trojan
onto your computer to read the content of the disk while it is
decrypted, for you to use, rather than bashing the door down to get a
disabled disk.

(* The German police did have physical access to the machines briefly to
