Hi all,

Can anyone do a computers workshop at the Huddersfield Luddite 200th Anniversary festival on April 28th? Here is provisional program for Huddersfield festival celebrating the 200th Anniversary of the Luddites http://luddites200blog.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Draft-programme-April-121.pdf

The organizing group are looking for someone to do the workshop on computers at noon on saturday the 28th of April. The provisional text in the program says, "Computers and the internet are now central to everyday life. Can we turn them to our own real needs, or is there something about them which means we will always be forced to dance to their tune?"

The workshop could be any format you like, discussion or maybe an introduction to techtools book. The crowd is expected to be people at the Huddersfield festival and a maybe a few activists. You don't have to specifically answer that question

If you need money for a train ticket or petrol the organizing group can probably pay your expenses and will find you a couch to crash on saturday night (or whole weekend if you want to come up early). If necessary the schedule might be able to be rearranged to fit when you can do a workshop. Check with organizers re internet access. You can confirm with me or better yet directly with luddites200 at yahoo.co.uk More information on luddites anniversary at www.luddites200.org.uk

Solidarity and Autonomy,
Michael
