    Hi All,

After several discussions about BarnCamp, I thought I'd write and be
    clear about this.

There's a group of six or so of us that have organised the last four
BarnCamps, since 2008, and at the end of last year's event some, if not
all, of us felt that we needed a year off from organising it.

In addition, those at the farm, and in particular, Becky and the others,
who had done the brilliant food for us, also said they'd like a year
    off.

I feel there is the advantage that not only do those having organised it
get a bit of a rest, but also we have the chance of keeping it fresh,
not just doing the same old thing every year until the initial impetus
and excitement are jaded and worn-out, having a year off might mean that
someone else does something, so it'll be different and exciting, or that
we all miss it so that a new team of people are up for organising one
    next year.

Therefore the current situation is that the team that's produced
BarnCamp for the past four years isn't doing one this year.

However if you feel you'd like to organise one, be our guest: this is an
open project and anyone's most welcome to decide to organise a BarnCamp
or a HacktionLab, as well as any other relevant activity.

If you'd like to call it BarnCamp, call it that; if you'd like to call
it something else, go for it.

Hope that's made the situation clear for everyone, and I also hope that
I've accurately represented the views of all those involved in making
BarnCamp happen up to this point, to whom I'd like to say thank you very
much for making it happen, it's been a pleasure for me to work with you,
and I look forward to doing more stuff in the future, and also going to
    other such events with you.

    Cheers,

    Mike
