It would be interesting to see the application, and particularly the draft 
program.  We could contribute to a discussion on federated 
and open web, strategies for data autonomy and participation in 
federated social networks, and hosting practices ?

I chose those as they may be clear differentiators about choice of a
zylum installation and whether it suitable for a particular group users.

Another useful question could be the legal regime that the hosting
organisation is based in. For example organisations like
indymedia.org.uk ( which is not so active these days ) have suffered
from servers being seized by law enforcement, and have developed
strategies to protect against these by using encryption and hosting in
several international locations.  More recently Bristol Indymedia have
suffered these attacks, with have resulted in it closing. It's my
understanding that these were in regard to direct action around  
anti NATO protests.

Other issues that have caused problems have been animal rights
actions, SHAC and Badger Cull actions. Being able to defend user
communications in the face of these attacks can be challenging and
stressful.

I hope that you are able develop a robust way of solving these problems
and that it is clear that these attacks on our organising tools are
real and not imagined.
