Hi,

If anyone is interested I thought it might be fun to set up a synapse
server. This allows communication between users on different types of
networks: anything from facebook to IRC! End to end encryption is
supported and even voice and video chat. Alas it doesn't currently
support anonymity.

We can try building our own server or just test the one that the riot.im
talks to by default.
