some meet in hacktionlabs ;) , hackmeetings,  CCC and similar events

Others are producing media trying what is now called "sustainable
activism" so trying to make money from donations ... via opencollective
or liberapay

ego-education.

me thinks people moved to corporate platforms and away from indymedia
because ego-feeding was way too tempting.

privacy, or anonimity . And the huge audience that was reading indymedia
and now needs to navigate between hundreds of profiles to find news. The
'media outlets' that are now appearing lack the open-publishing facility.

There are a few very valid blogging platfroms (network23, noblogs,
blackblogs) and it would be great to provide a twitch alternative where
people could video-blog as far away as possible from corporate big-tech
providers.

Also, there are some groups still named  doing indymedia and I would
like to know they are looked after

Thank you for the questions
