lists seem to be slow, so here goes some info:

Trying to put info together. spent all day in g8 and various other 
channels, updated the feature, put together some background stuff.
will prob do a feature protests started 2nite, please feel free to edit!!!

a good starting point for reporting is the irc channel #uk, also #g8, where 
the people over there hang out.

A few people from scots, london, cambridge, sheffield are going to lac 
leman or are already there.
If you get calls or txt messages from them, would be good to tell everybody 
on irc #uk.
If it's enough info, would be even better to write it up as a newswire 
posting so we can link to the frontpage.
